The Art Gallery at SSDP
Located in the waiting room of our No. Easton office, the SSDP Art Gallery enhances our space with changing exhibits of beautiful works of art created by talented local artists. Inspired by our own diverse backgrounds, the Art Gallery connects us to the community and each other through a shared appreciation for the arts. We hope you will enjoy the Art Gallery as a place for relaxation and quiet contemplation during your SSDP visits. See our list of past exhibits by clicking here.
About the Artist: Cindy Greenstein
I spend as much time as I can delighting in the beauty and joy of nature. During the time I spend there, I photograph. I make art. Art is everywhere you look. To me, it’s magic when I find the ExtraOrdinary in the Ordinary.
I create art with my camera and… yes, my iPhone. I see it as a new medium – iPhoneography. Creative apps and editing programs are my new paint brushes.
I choose to see the beautiful in everything and make art with it. I can’t help myself. It’s just what I do.
I’ve been an artist all my life, my mother knew it when I was three. My father was a design engineer for Polaroid in the 1960s. As part of his job, he brought home beta cameras for us to try out. When I was 11, I got to “test” the SX-70 - the innovative camera that let you watch the photo develop right before your eyes. It was magical.
I studied art and photography in college. I created a company called Picture This! Event Photography in 2002. For 15 years, I have photographed hundreds of weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, families, children, high school seniors, corporate events, and pets (I am considered the “Dog Whisperer” of photographers. Seriously!)
But here is where my true love resides: Fine art photography. Finding the beautiful ExtraOrdinary in the Ordinary.
I hope you experience joy in viewing my work and the big, bold, beautiful, colors and subjects make you feel happy.
