Kenneth P. Gilbert, MD, Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Gilbert, a board-certified plastic surgeon, has decades of experience in his specialty. A Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he treats SSDP patients in the practice’s office, performing procedures including excising skin cancers, moles, and cysts.

Building on his background performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at Boston area hospitals and Veteran’s Administration (VA) medical centers, Dr. Gilbert offers compassionate care paired with professional expertise. He takes the time to explain procedures to his patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring they feel comfortable during the inherent stress of undergoing a surgical procedure, no matter how minor.

When he’s not operating at SSDP, Dr. Gilbert practices two days a week at the Jamaica Plain and Brockton VA Medical Centers. He enjoys bicycling, skiing, hiking, and traveling.
