Jay M. Ritt, MD - Retired
Jay M. Ritt, MD, graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He earned his MD degree at the State University of New York Upstate Medical College-Syracuse in 1974, and completed a year of internship and a year of residency in pediatrics at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Ritt completed his dermatology residency at Brown University, where he was co-chief resident during his final year of training. He earned Board certification in dermatology in 1979.
Dr. Ritt served in clinical dermatology practice on the South Shore for more than 30 years. He provided his patients with extensive experience in medical and surgical dermatology. Dr. Ritt is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology, New England Dermatological Society, National Psoriasis Foundation, American Contact Dermatitis Society, American Medical Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He has served on the staffs at South Shore Hospital, Brockton Hospital, and the Good Samaritan Medical Center (GSMC), and was Chief of the Division of Dermatology at GSMC until his retirement in December 2015.
